"SvjatoslavІ believe that this eparchy is going to become one of the most dynamic out of all our eparchies around the world. And here, in the West of America, it will be able to melt the hearts of even those who, perhaps, have lost the connection with their Church, and could help a lot of people with different nationalities to newly reveal the presence of God among us. We have so much to tell the world". His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC.

The first childrens' pilgrimage took place in the Chicago Deanery

On April 24, 2021, the children along with their parents began the pilgrimage with a Divine Liturgy at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Munster, Indiana.

Fr. Volodymyr Kushnir, administrator of this parish, spoke about the resurrection of Lazarus and about the meaning of the importance of the First Confession during his sermon, because in just two weeks time, many children will have their First Confession and The Solemn Holy Communion. After a short snack, all families participated in the Stations of Cross at the Shrine of Christ's Passion in St. John, IN. The children were able to read reflections of Christ's Passion.
At the conclusion, Fr. Volodymyr expressed his gratitude to the families for their active participation in this event that took place the first time in the Deanery of Chicago.
