The First Divine Liturgy was celebrated in Casper, WY

On Saturday May 18, in Casper WY, with the blessing of our Bishop Benedict, the First Divine Liturgy for our newly formed community was celebrated by Ver. Rev. Roman Bobesiuk. It was a blessed day for all participants, as it was a commemoration of the glorious Feast of Pentecost. On this day, Casper's Ukrainian Catholic Mission was born for our faithful of St. Nicholas Eparchy.

Fr. Roman in his homily accented on the role of the Holy Spirit, "Today, we made our first step. This step shows that our Lord Jesus Christ wants to be among us in this beautiful congregation. To accomplish His will, we have to pray a lot and we have to become the tools God uses to share love, peace, and kindness. To be strong in our faith we have to keep our hearts open for the fire of God's love which can be realized through the Holy Spirit. It's very important to be guided by the Holy Spirit and allow Him to give life and all treasures for our congregation".

After the Divine Liturgy, an "Agape" common meal was shared with all present. The next Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Bishop Benedict (Aleksiychuk) on June 3rd at 6:00 pm.

Location: 1474 Willer Drive, Casper, WY 82604
